A reorder button only helps the customer who is already looking at an old order. Everyone else needs a nudge. Reorderify can forward those moments to Klaviyo: the customer opened a reorder, added it to the cart, or finished the new order. You can then email the people who started and did not finish.
The three events
- Reorderify Modal Open โ the customer opened the reorder list.
- Reorderify Add to Cart โ they put one item, or the whole order, into the cart.
- Reorderify Reorder Completed โ a new order was placed from that reorder.
Each event includes the source (new customer accounts, theme, legacy account, order status, or thank-you), item count, order id, and, when the reorder is finished, the new order id and total. Add to cart is the trigger for a win-back flow. Reorder completed is the event you use to stop the flow, so you do not email someone who already bought.
Connect the Klaviyo key
Create a private API key in Klaviyo
In Klaviyo, open Settings, then API keys. Create a private key. Reorderify expects a key that starts with pk_. Give it permission to create events.
Paste it into Reorderify
Open Reorderify settings and the New Customer account tab. Under Klaviyo Integration, turn on event forwarding and paste the private key. The field is masked after you save. Save settings.
Place one test reorder
Log in as a customer, open a past order, and add it to the cart. In Klaviyo, open Metrics and look for Reorderify Modal Open and Reorderify Add to Cart. If nothing arrives, check that forwarding is on and that the key is the private key, not a public site key.
A simple win-back flow
- Trigger the flow on the metric Reorderify Add to Cart.
- Wait a few hours.
- Exit the flow if Reorderify Reorder Completed fires, or if any order is placed.
- Send one email that links back to the customer's orders page, not to a generic collection.
Keep the email about the products they already bought. A reorder link beats a 10% sitewide code, because the customer does not have to search the catalog again.
The settings screen is split, and each field explains itself
New customer accounts and classic accounts no longer share one long form. The New Customer account tab covers the extension: which pages show reorder, review versus quick reorder, images, prices, quantities, inventory, and the Klaviyo key. The Legacy customer account tab covers the theme embed, button colors, and the classic thank-you page.
Each field has a short help note. Hover or focus it before you change a label. A few that merchants ask about:
- Copy preset is a ready-made set of headings and button labels: Default, "Loved it? Order again", "Running low? Reorder now", or "Repeat this order". Choose one, click Apply preset, then save. Applying a preset does not save by itself. Generate with AI writes a set from your store if you would rather not pick a preset.
- Orders page block heading is the title of the Quick Reorder block. Leave it blank to use Quick Reorder.
- Carry over original line item properties copies the original options, including hidden ones, onto the new cart line.
The button the customer sees should match the product. A coffee shop can use "Running low? Reorder now". A gift shop can use "Loved it? Order again". The preset fills the labels, then you edit any single one.
If the store has already moved to new customer accounts, put the button on those pages first. The placement guide is How to Add Reorder on Shopify's New Customer Accounts.
